Forgive but don’t Forget

After every heartbreak, I ask myself - Revenge or Forgiveness? The answer to this is very simple - Forgive but don’t Forget! Now you would say - Easier said than done. You are right, forgiving someone is difficult especially if the heart was involved in it. But always remember, your past is your greatest teacher. It’s up to you to become its greatest student. To learn, you need to forgive without forgetting. Forgiving the person means letting go of the bitterness inside you. No matter how deeply you are hurt, you will heal. Always remember it's their loss, not yours. They lost someone who cared deeply for them, whereas you lost someone who was eventually going to hurt you. ( iss mein tera ghata mera kuch nahi jata :D ). Wish best for them and move on. I’m not saying you should not feel the hurt or mask it. Getting in touch with your emotions is a necessary step for healing. But once healed, let go of the person.
